Yet, acquiring the skills and knowledge required to elevate one’s business can be challenging for leaders of small- and medium-sized enterprises, who may be caught up in the running of day-to-day operations.
For Chua Yong Hin, the general manager and second-generation leader of homegrown SME, Delta Technology Pte Ltd, enrolling in the SMU Enterprise Leadership for Transformation (ELT) programme had manifold benefits. As he sought to grow his family business, he understood the importance of equipping himself with relevant knowledge.
The curriculum, coupled with one-on-one coaching and the development of a Business Growth Plan (BGP), provided him with practical tools and frameworks to apply to his business. The opportunity to network with his peers, many of whom are next-generation business leaders like himself, was another valuable takeaway from his time in the ELT.
