The Institute aspires to develop an eco-system for learning. This will be done through a knowledge creation and sharing platform. What we do have in plan would be a web portal and knowledge repository to provide the platform for learning and users could also create content to share (that will be managed). Knowledge dissemination would be the key focus.
As part of the knowledge creation process, the Institute will increase its engagement in applied research. We will focus on practical research that would be helpful to our SMEs. The key areas of research would include HR, operations, marketing, branding and management
To sweeten the deal, the Institute will also conduct Asia's first biannual business intelligence survey for SMEs. This survey aims to provide SMEs with:
- in-depth commentary and analysis of the global and Asian economic outlook;
- business outlook and expansion strategies of SMEs in Asia; and
- insight into the reality and opportunities found when SMEs venture beyond their home countries
We hope that the knowledge gained through these various platforms will lead to action in the engagement in active learning via our SME Consulting Programme.
